Her 2018 debut album Salvation built Evalyn a core fan base made up of predominantly queer and female fans who resonated with Evalyn’s message of female empowerment, inclusivity, mental health awareness, and sustainability. With the re-release of Salvation (Digital Deluxe) Evalyn wanted to refresh and revisit the treasured project in honor of her fans that have supported her through every phase of her musical journey.
Salvation (Deluxe) will include four additional new tracks. "Nightmare" is the new unreleased single as completed from the original Salvation sessions. “Big Bad City (It All Goes Fast Edit)” is a sped up version of the 2018 hit single, drawing from the lyric “We’ve got Jesus on the dash / it all goes fast when you’re kids in the big bad city.” Evalyn creates a stripped down version of the original on “Crème de la crème (Re-Imagined),” allowing the track’s earnest lyricism to shine. An ode to integrity over conformity, Evalyn sings, “I’ve been seeing saints holding hands / and my God is trans / and everyone feels alive / and I like to do what’s in vogue / not what I’ve been told / cross my heart and hope to die.” The final new offering, “A Pill To Crush (Re-Imagined)” gets a production overhaul, trading indie-rock guitars for swirling synths and celestial vibes.
More Info:
Since bursting onto the dance music scene in 2016 with a co-write and vocal feature on Louis The Child’s breakout track “Fire,” Evalyn has firmly cemented herself as one of the most exciting collaborative talents in EDM. A multi-hyphenate creative, when Evalyn is not performing her own hits, she is lending vocals to star producers (Jai Wolf, it’s murph) or writing with other acts (Anabel Englund, Stela Cole, Dillon Francis). A successful solo artist in her own right, Evalyn's solo EPs "Sandcastle" and "Salvation" have accrued over 19 million streams to date and her releases have been supported by Billboard, Nylon, PAPER, KCRW, Trap Nation, Mr. Suicide Sheep, Majestic Casual and more. Her catalog of credited work includes collaborations and co-writes with such artists/writers/producers as Finneas, RAC, Icona Pop, Tate McRae, Dan Nigro, Cheat Codes, Sidepiece, Whethan, and Evan Giia.
Evalyn has also recently collaborated with producer it's murph on “High And I Like It” (via Darkroom/Interscope). Co-written with Alex Chapman and Zhone (who worked on Troye Sivan’s Grammy nominated hit “Rush”), Evalyn and it’s murph got to perform the track for the first time at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles in early November.
